Does Polar H7 pair with Runkeeper with Android/iPhone/Windows Phone?

Short version: (Most likely) YES

NOTE: In order to connect your Polar H7 to the Runkeeper you must not pair the belt from your phone’s bluetooth settings!

Longer version: It depends on your Android device. As long as your device supports BTLE and your Android version is at least 4.3, you’re good to go. If not, you’re better with the Polar Wearlink®+ band.

Here is the list of supported devices Polar lists on their website:

  • HTC One M8
  • HTC One Max
  • HTC One Mini
  • HTC One Mini 2
  • HTC One
  • Huawei Ascend P7
  • LG G Flex
  • LG G2
  • LG G3
  • LG Nexus 4
  • LG Nexus 5
  • Motorola Moto G
  • Motorola Moto X
  • Samsung Galaxy Note II
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  • Samsung Galaxy S3
  • Samsung Galaxy S4
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • Samsung Galaxy S5 mini
  • Sony Xperia Z1
  • Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
  • Sony Xperia Z2

The list lacks lots of newer phones but I’d say if your phone is newer than any of these phones and in the same price category (upper mid range to flagships) you should be fine!

For iOS devices all phones are supported starting from iPhone 4S.

Polar says on their web site that Windows Phone isn’t supported but IT ACTUALLY WORKS! YES, WINDOWS PHONE DOES WORK WITH POLAR H7. I tested with Lumia 735 and Runtastic Pro app. I’m guessing Windows Phone 8.1 is required and your device must support BTLE!
